X (Twitter) video downloader
Paste a X link, preview the video, and save the file to your device. It works on public posts, needs no account, and the video comes from X to you, not through us.
How to save a video
- Copy the link: on X tap Share, then Copy link, or copy the address from your browser.
- Paste it in the box above and press Get video.
- Watch the preview, then press Download video to keep the file.
The video comes from X’s servers straight to your device, so it uses your connection, not ours.
How this works
Pasting a link does one lookup: we ask our API for the post’s video address. Your browser then downloads the file from X’s servers directly, over your own connection. The video never passes through our server, we keep no copy of it, and we cannot see it.
The preview plays the file that is already on your device, and Download video saves that same file under a name built from the post, so nothing is fetched twice.
Each visitor gets a limited number of downloads per hour so the tool stays free for everyone, and the page tells you how many are left. Download only what you made or have permission to use. For how this works and where it stops, read how to download Instagram, Facebook and X videos.
Questions
- Where does the video come from?
- From X’s own video servers, straight to your device. We look up the post to find the file’s address, and your browser downloads it. We do not store, host or relay the video.
- Which links work?
- Post links on x.com or twitter.com that look like x.com/name/status/123…. Short t.co links hide the address, so open them in a browser and paste the full link.
- Why did it say the video is only a stream?
- Some X videos are only published as a streaming playlist, not as a file, so there is no single file to save.
- Is it allowed?
- Download only videos you made or have permission to use. Saving someone else’s video and re-posting it can infringe their copyright and X’s terms.
- Is there a limit?
- Yes. Each visitor gets a limited number of downloads per hour, so the tool stays free for everyone. When you reach it, the page says when it resets.
