Compare
Where the alternatives beat us
Every comparison page here names at least two things the other vendor does better, and the table marks the rows they win as plainly as the rows we win. That is a rule with a test behind it, not a promise — a page cannot ship without them.
Apify vs TrueScrape
→Apify rents you a platform and a marketplace of scrapers; we run a fixed set of social endpoints behind one schema. Priced, dated, and honest about which one you actually want.

Bright Data vs TrueScrape
→Bright Data is the largest and most legally battle-tested vendor in this category. Here is where that matters, where it does not, and the specific things they do better than us.

Why these are written this way
There is a measurable answer to how comparison content should be written, and it comes from a competitor rather than from taste. Their honest multi-vendor proxy comparison — the one that criticises named vendors and sells nothing — is among their best-performing pages. Their “us versus Apify” post gets about one visit a month. Same author, same category, two orders of magnitude apart.
So these pages are bound by rules that are enforced in code: at least two specific things the other vendor does better, at least one row where the honest verdict is theirs, a real answer to who should buy theirs instead, and a date and source on every figure.
What we are weakest at
- No SOC 2 report, no standard DPA, no SSO. A formal security review is not something we pass today.
- No official SDKs and no CLI — an HTTP API, an OpenAPI document and an MCP server.
- No customers to point at yet, so there are no case studies here and will not be until there are.
- Our TikTok and Instagram coverage is materially thinner than our YouTube coverage, and we publish which endpoints are unverified rather than averaging it away.
