Data365 vs TrueScrape

Data365 and we are the same kind of product: an API over public social data, read without logging in. The difference is how you buy it. Data365 is a monthly plan, starting at €300, where you choose how many social networks you get and receive a large monthly credit volume, with access to the trial through a contact form. We are prepaid credits with no subscription, every platform included, self-serve from the first request. At high, steady volume on one or two networks their plan can be the cheaper shape. At low or uneven volume, or across many platforms, ours usually is.

What does Data365 do better?

Volume headroom we do not sell on a self-serve plan

Their Basic plan includes 500,000 credits a month and Standard 1,000,000, with custom plans up to 100,000,000. A single post costs one of those credits. For a team pulling posts in bulk from one or two networks every day, that is a lot of data for a fixed invoice, and a predictable bill is something our prepaid balance does not give a finance team.

Every response is fetched live from the source

They state that every piece of data is gathered live at the moment of your request. We cache responses for a while and serve the cached copy free, which is cheaper for you but means a repeat request inside the cache window returns the earlier copy. If you need the freshest possible read every single time, their stated behaviour is the stricter one.

A human sales process and a stated uptime figure

They run an introductory call, give access to full API documentation after it, and publish a 99.9% uptime claim with email support. We have no account managers and publish no uptime figure. For a buyer who wants a named contact and a number to hold a vendor to, theirs is the more familiar process.

Choose Data365 if

  • You pull very large volumes of posts from one to three networks every month, steadily.
  • You want a fixed monthly invoice rather than a balance you top up.
  • You need every response fetched live, with no cache in between.
  • You prefer to start with a call and a guided trial rather than a self-serve key.

Choose TrueScrape if

  • You need more than the networks your plan would cover, without paying for a bigger tier.
  • You want to start today with one API key and a synchronous call, not a contact form and a polling flow.
  • Your volume is uneven, and pay-as-you-go credits with no subscription fit better than a monthly plan.
  • You need failed requests and empty results to cost nothing, with cache hits free.
  • You want an MCP server and a CLI for agents, or mention monitors set up with one POST to /v1/monitors and a webhook.

Questions people actually ask

Is Data365 cheaper?
At high, steady volume on one network, it can be. €300 a month buys 500,000 credits, and a post costs one. But a profile costs nine and a search seven, and the plan is a monthly commitment per network. Ours is $1.25 per 1,000 credits at entry with no subscription, and a request is usually one credit whatever it returns. Work out the mix of calls you would make, and on how many networks, before comparing. Their figures were read from their pricing page on 2026-11-01.
How fast can I start with each?
With Data365 you request the trial through a form and get full documentation after an introductory call. With us you sign up, take one API key and make a call; the free tools need no account at all, and an MCP server and CLI let an agent call the same API. For brand mentions, one POST to /v1/monitors with a webhook URL sets up a monitor.
What is the honest case against us here?
If you need tens of millions of records a month, a fixed invoice and a live fetch on every call, their plan is built for that and ours is not. We publish no uptime figure and have no sales team to talk to. We are newer than they are, and some of our platforms are proven against live traffic while others are not yet.
