For agents

Live context for your agent: competitors, mentions and markets

An agent can read your code and your files. It cannot see your competitors, your market or what people say about you. TrueScrape is that missing context, and it takes about a minute to connect.

Public data from 44 platforms, with products and property as well: Amazon search, Walmart, Zillow and Redfin. Failed and empty calls cost nothing.

2

Add it to your client

one line
npx truescrape agent add claude-code

It needs a key first: run truescrape auth login or set TRUESCRAPE_API_KEY. It loads a smaller set of tools, so connecting leaves your agent room to work. The set covers 9 common sources, explore_tools reaches every other tool, and --all loads them all at the start.

terminal
claude mcp add --transport http truescrape https://api.truescrape.com/mcp?platforms=youtube,tiktok,instagram,reddit,threads,bluesky,hackernews,amazon,walmart \
  --header "x-api-key: YOUR_API_KEY" --scope user
Load only some platforms (9)

This config starts on a smaller set, which keeps your agent’s context lean. Clear every chip to load every platform.

Every flag and file path is in the setup reference.

Ask something

Three jobs, each with what the agent calls and what it costs. Skills for these jobs are on the skills page.

    • reddit_search
      1 credit per product
  • Watch

“Watch Acme's YouTube channel and tell me what's new each time I ask”

    • create_monitor
      free to create
    • check_monitor
the feed's normal price per check, stated in the response
    • get_monitor_mentions
      free to read
  • Mentions

“Who is talking about Acme right now? Group it by source and flag what needs a reply”

    • find_mentions
up to 10 credits, 1 per source that answers; failed or empty sources are free

Worked examples

You do not need an agent

Agents are one way in. The monitors, the API and the CLI work the same without one, at the same prices.

  • Dashboard: Add a term or accounts and read what is new in an inbox.
  • Monitors API: The same monitors over REST, with a webhook if you want one.
  • Endpoints: Call any endpoint in the catalogue directly, at the price it states.
  • CLI: Every endpoint as a command, for scripts and cron.

What it does not do

  • Public, logged-out data only. No logins, no private accounts, no data behind a session.
  • Mentions do not cover X, LinkedIn search and Instagram captions. Instagram and TikTok mentions come from the hashtag, and only the posts the platform shows for it.
  • Amazon coverage is search results. We do not claim Amazon product pages.
  • Checks cost credits, whether or not they find something new. Keeping the results and reading them cost nothing, and failed or empty checks are free.
  • This is not a live stream. A monitor checks at most once an hour, every six hours by default, or when your agent asks.
