TikTok profile picture downloader
Enter a TikTok handle and save its profile picture to your device. It reads the public profile, needs no account, and the image comes from TikTok to you, not through us.
How to save a profile picture
- Type the handle, like @tiktok, or copy the address of the profile from your browser.
- Paste it in the box above and press Get picture.
- Check the preview, then press Download image to keep the file.
The file comes from TikTok’s servers straight to your device, so it uses your connection, not ours.
How this works
Paste a TikTok handle or profile link. We read the public profile page, the one you see without signing in, and find the address of its picture. Your browser downloads the file from TikTok directly, so it never passes through our server and we keep no copy, and you get a preview and a button that saves it.
Questions
- What size is the picture?
- The largest version TikTok gives a logged-out visitor. On the four large accounts we checked it was between 755 and 1080 pixels square, and we do not upscale it.
- Does it work on a private account?
- It reads only the public profile a logged-out visitor sees. If TikTok shows the picture there you get it, and videos and followers are never read.
- Why did my lookup fail?
- TikTok answers the same way for a name that does not exist and one that is private, suspended or removed, so the tool cannot always tell them apart. Check the spelling and try again.
- Is it allowed?
- Save only pictures you made or have permission to use. That a file is public does not make it free to reuse, and posting someone else’s work as your own can infringe their copyright and TikTok’s terms.
- Is there a limit?
- Yes. Each visitor gets a limited number of lookups per hour, so the tool stays free for everyone. When you reach it, the page says when it resets.
- How do I do this in code?
- GET /v1/tiktok/profile takes a handle at 1 credit and returns avatarUrl with the rest of the profile. A cached copy costs nothing, and you download the file yourself.
